    Here’s a good explanation by James Fallows (via Matthew Yglesis) about the history of the filibuster. To think that Americans would likely have a strong public option and a single-payer plan in the current draft of the health care reform bill were the filibuster not a threat is astonishing. But it’s great to know that this issue is finally getting some much needed publicity—thanks, in no small measure, to the efforts of Fallows et al.
